Captain senior Cameron Bradley shows his emotion prior to kickoff of the EHS vs GHS rivalry game Friday at Goddard District Stadium. "We are doing more drills and practicing wrapping up," he said the following week. "We kind of have to develop the attitude of not giving up."

How does a team bounce back from a 60-12 loss?

That is exactly what the Tiger football team and coaching staff has to figure out after their lopsided loss to their cross-town rival last Friday at Goddard District Stadium.

The negative chants from the Goddard side of the stadium are probably still ringing in the ears of many in Tiger Nation, but what is the next step?

“Keeping motivation up during the game was a struggle, so at practice we are trying to be more competitive and physical,” quarterback senior William (Mason) Madzey said. “We are also working together more and trying to be more tough.”

Some mistakes were made at Friday night’s game, but the team has not lost motivation from the loss, and they plan to fix any mistakes at practices to get better.

     The season is not over.

“We have played a tough schedule, but we are not going to make excuses because we just have to get better,” head coach Marc Marinelli said. “We struggled a lot with turnovers. At practice we are also working on fundamental stuff and tackling.”

Even though Friday night’s game may have been a tough loss for the Tigers, the team is ready to keep practicing to help everybody learn from any mistakes so they can hopefully win upcoming games.

""We need to look ahead in our schedule and really try to figure out what we can do better as a team," senior quarterback William (Mason) Madzey said.
